Many children learn better from computer-based learning programs. This is because these programs engage most or all of their senses, are more "stimulating" than traditional teaching or tutoring methods, and, because many children find it easier to interact with a machine. They have come to associate school and learning with adults, with whom they have had negative experiences (like not learning, not understanding and feeling embarrassed).
